Vision Therapy Service

Our Vision Therapy Service offers complete diagnostic and therapeutic care for children and adults with vision problems such as eye tracking, eye focusing and eye teaming disorders (Visual Efficiency), strabismus and amblyopia (eye turn or wall eyed, lazy eye), and learning-related vision problems (Visual Information Processing ).

The Vision Therapy Service at OCLA is highly respected and recognized in the region. Referrals from a variety of sources, including optometrists, educators, and other professionals are accepted and welcomed.

Prior to setting an appointment for a vision therapy evaluation, the patient usually has a comprehensive vision examination to determine the individual visual needs, to ensure good general and eye health and to guarantee accurate glasses and vision prescriptions.

All of our evaluation and treatment programs are individualized and customized to the age and specific needs of the patient.  The vision therapy program is always conducted on a one-to-one basis with an intern and supervising faculty member working as a team with the patient.

Since learning problems often require a multidisciplinary approach to correct (psychologists, educators, other health care providers), in addition to vision therapy, we will work with these other professionals to maximize a successful outcome for the patient.
