The Eye Care Center at the Southern California College of Optometry is happy to announce its annual Shared Visions Art Exhibit is open for 2011-2012.

This special art exhibit, (in which all of the artwork has been done by artists who are blind or legally blind), has been so well received by the community and the local media, that the Eye Care Center will be continuing the tradition, in an expanded version, for the seventh year. Read more >>

February is AMD Month

Participants Needed For Soft Contact Lens Survey

Contact Lens SurveyThe CLAY group is currently conducting a study comparing soft contact lens wear habits in 18 to 25 year olds and 26 to 33 year olds. Time commitment is approximately 15-20 minutes per survey.

Participants age 18-25 years old will be asked to provide an email address and retake the survey in one week. If you are eligible and choose to participate, you will receive a $10.00 gift card for each survey. Read more >>

 


Seeking Volunteers For Ongoing Diabetes Study

Diabetes Study

We are seeking volunteers for a research study being conducted at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California (www.scco.edu). The study is examining the blood vessel and nerve function in the eye of subjects with and without diabetes. Read more >>

 



Itchy Allergy Eyes Wanted

Allergy Study

You may not know it, but that itching and discomfort in your eyes could be associated with allergic conjunctivitis, commonly known as allergy eyes. Researchers at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO), are looking for individuals to participate in a study to evaluate the effectiveness of two types of eye drops, Bepreve® and Alrex®. Both of these FDA-approved eye drops provide temporary relief of the signs and symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Read more >>
