| Dr. Mark Sawamura is a 1991 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. Following graduation, he completed a residency in Primary Care at the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In 1993, Dr. Sawamura joined the faculty at the Southern California College of Optometry. He currently serves in the Family Practice, Chronic Care, and Ophthalmology and Special Testing Services. He is also a consultant to the California State University, Fullerton Student Health Center. Dr. Sawamura coordinates the first and second professional year clinical program, teaches clinical procedures laboratories, and teaches subjects ranging from ocular and neuro-ophthalmic disease, application of ophthalmic lasers, and diagnostic procedures. He has lectured on a variety of ocular disease topics on the local and national level. His research interests include pregnancy and the eye, migraine headaches, and technology in education. |
