Raymond Chu, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000 from the State University of New York, College of Optometry after earning his B.S. degree in Biochemistry/ Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. In 2001, he completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Chu is also a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.

At present, Dr. Chu serves as clinical faculty in the Vision Therapy and Pediatric Optometry services, and as a co-investigator on a number of National Eye Institute (NEI) supported studies including: the Amblyopia Treatment Study (ATS), Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Ethnicity and Refractive Error (CLEERE), Collaborative Longitudinal Evaluation of Keratoconus (CLEK), and Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial (CITT).
